  • It's pretty rare that a trailer couldn't handle going to a wheel and tire combo that's 1 inch wider. Since the additional width is split on either side of the mounting flange you'd end up losing half an inch of clearance to the inside and outside of your wheel/tire. Wouldn't hurt to measure first but I'd be shocked if you didn't have the needed clearance. The tire size that you referenced 225/75-15, requires a 6 inch wide 15 inch trailer wheel. We don't have this combination already mounted....
